FPSnowdrops

The snowdrops are out again in our gardens and parks. In the chilly, short days of winter it is wonderful to see their beautiful white flowers and fresh green leaves. They are known as the Flower of Hope. During the Crimean War in the 1850s, the snowdrop enchanted the soldiers and marked the start of spring - a sign of hope in grim conditions. Many survivors brought the bulbs back to Britain. To be human is to hope and hope is at the heart of Christian faith. You are welcome to find hope at St Edmundsbury Cathedral.

Services

The ground on which St Edmundsbury Cathedral is built has been holy ground for over a thousand years. Every day of the year, Morning and Evening Prayer is said or sung and the Eucharist is celebrated. In addition, thousands of people come from all over Suffolk and beyond to worship God at special services throughout the year, which celebrate our common life and acknowledge our common concerns.
