Also an accomplished cellist, David has performed at many of the top venues in the United Kingdom, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, and St John's, Smith Square. He has concerto performances on both cello and organ to his name, and has appeared in masterclasses for the Royal College of Organists and the St Albans International Organ Festival. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Organists, and currently studies organ with Thomas Trotter.

Since September 2007, David has been Assistant Director of Music at St Edmundsbury Cathedral. In addition to his various duties with the Cathedral Choir, he is director of the St Edmundsbury Singers and is responsible for the Cathedral's Arts Programme.
