The Bishop of Dunwich is the assistant or 'suffragan' bishop to the Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. As such, he operates along very similar lines to those of the Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich and represents the Bishop when the Bishop is absent. The Right Reverend Clive Young is Bishop of Dunwich and attends many of the major services, which take place in the Cathedral. He has a seat in the Sanctuary and a stall in the Quire.
