The Friends of St Edmundsbury Cathedral assist the Cathedral Chapter in its responsibility to preserve the building and to meet the changing needs of the Cathedral as a strong focus of Christian worship. All those who love the Cathedral share in this responsibility. Since its foundation in 1948, the Friends have played a major role in caring for the building, its treasures, the music and the furnishings.
